Mark concentrates his practice in the areas of general business and corporate law, estate and tax planning, estate administration, business succession planning and elder law, including Medicaid planning.
Mark has over 30 years of experience providing counsel to a wide range of closely held businesses, their owners and families. He advises his clients in all aspects of general business and corporate transactions, including formation of business entities, business sales and acquisitions, commercial transactions and business succession planning. He also counsels his individual clients on estate and Medicaid planning, including wills, trusts and the use of asset protection vehicles. Mark provides advice on strategies designed to minimize estate and income taxes, as well as achieving the overall estate planning goals of his clients. He has a background in accounting and tax which allows him to work well with his clients’ accountants and financial advisors.
Mark received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Providence College, a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the Rhode Island Estate Planning Council. Mark is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Connecticut, the United States Tax Court, and before the United States District Courts for the Districts of Rhode Island and Connecticut.
